dan brown is a writer of fiction, not a historian. there is no 'other side to the story' when the story is fictitious.

fiction, people! stop reading into it like it's a lost artifact found in a cave surrounded by monkeys!

you don't see people hypothesizing about whether star wars is real.

Well duh. It happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away! It's fact, no need to hypothesize. I, personally, am looking into the cost of a hybrid time machine/intergalactic transport to take me there. Han Solo ain't got nothing on me.

I SOOO loved that book. Can't wait to see the movie. :)

People are getting confused because PARTS of the book mention non-fiction things. However in the front of the book before you read it, he tells you what parts are true.

Have you read it?

Dan Browns books are good and intertaining... i personally find them all to be to similer... but besides that all the Da Vinci Code crap is getting anoying... this is what people should do if they have it: Read it, like or dislike it, pick a new book and start reading what ever else..
